Robert S. Woods's daytime career began in 1979 when he joined One Life to Live as Bo Buchanan. Woods left OLTL in 1986 to join Days of our Lives as Paul Stewart. Woods played the role for a year until 1987. Woods would return to OLTL again in early 1988 and played the role until the series was cancelled in 2012. Woods reprised his role of Bo for the online reboot of OLTL in 2013.

Woods has been married to Loyita Chapel since 1985-1995 and remarried in 1996. They have two children: Tanner (b. 1990) and Dylan (b. 1990; d. 1990).
