Mark Pinter's daytime career began in 1980 when he appeared on Guiding Light as Mark Evans until 1983 when he left the show. In 1984, Mark Pinter joined the cast of As the World Turns as Brian McColl a role he played for 9 years until 1989 when Mark was let go from the soap. Pinter's most noteable role came in 1990, when he took over the role of Grant Harrison on Another World. Pinter played Grant until AW was cancelled in 1999. Beginning in 2000, Pinter made appearances on All My Children as Roger Smythe. In 2008, Pinter appeared on General Hospital in the recurring role of Agent Raynder. Pinter appeared on The Young and the Restless in early 2014 until 2015 when he departed and he was let go from the soap.

Mark Pinter was married to Colleen Zenk from 1985 to 2010. They had two children together: Morgan and Georgia. Mark Pinter was also then married to Gretchen DeBoer and they had three children: Dylan, Hannah and Siri.
