Laura Wright's daytime career began in 1991 when she joined Loving as Ally Rescott. When Loving was cancelled in 1995, Wright joined The City as her Loving character Ally Rescott. In 1997, Wright joined the cast of Guiding Light as Cassie Layne a role she played until 2005. Wright left GL in 2005 to join General Hospital as Carly.
