Kim Delaney appeared on daytime from 1981-1984, Delaney's pairing with Laurence Lau's Greg was one of the show's successful super couple pairing's in the 1980's. Delaney made a return guest appearance in 1994. Delaney was a regular on NYPD Blue from 1995-2001 and made a return in 2003. In 2002, Delaney was cast on CSI: Miami but her character was written out after the first ten episodes. Delaney appeared on Army Wives as Claudia Joy Holden from 2007 to 2012. Delaney joined GH in October 2020 as Jackie Templeton.

Delaney was married to Charles Grant (1984-1988). Delaney was also married to Joseph Cortese (1989-1994) and they had one child: Jack (b. 1990).
