Kathleen Widdoes' daytime career began in 1958 when she played Jill Malone on Young Dr. Malone. Widdoes wouldn't return to daytime again until 1978 when she played Rose Perrini on Another World. In 1983, Widdoes appeared on Ryan's Hope. Widdoes joined the cast of As the World Turns in 1985 in her most memorable role of Emma Snyder, a role she played until 2010.

Widdoes was married to Jerry Senter and Richard Jordan (1964-1972). Widdoes and Jordan share one child: Nina (b. 08/09/1964).
