Francesca James' career in daytime started as an actress in 1970 on One Life to Live as Marcy Wade. In 1972, James joined All My Children as Kitty Tyler and James would eventually take on the role of Kitty's sister Kelly in 1979. James began directing at AMC in 1980 and took on writing duties in 1988. In 1989, James joined the directing staff of Loving. James than tired to producing at General Hospital in 1990 and would go on to produce at Santa Barbara and Days of our Lives. In 1996, James rejoined AMC as the show's executive producer. From 2001-2003, James was on the directing staff of Port Charles. From 2003-2008, James would occasional direct episodes of AMC.  James returned to AMC as a new character named Evelyn Johnson when the show premiered online in April 2013.
