Dorian Lopinto's first appearance on daytime was as Missy Palmer Dancy on The Doctors in 1978 playing the role until 1980. In January 1981, Lopinto took over the role of Samantha Vernon on One Life to Live from Julia Montgomery. Lopinto played Samantha until the character was killed off in November 1984. Lopinto went on to appear on The Secret World of Alex Mack as the title character's mother.
