Brook Kerr appeared on daytime as Whitney Russell on Passions from the series premiere in 1999 until the series left NBC for DirecTV in September 2007. Kerr made a return appearance from July 2008 to September 2008 when the series was cancelled. Kerr was the first actress cast as Tara Thornton in True Blood but the role was recast. In March 2020, Kerr joined General Hospital as Dr. Portia Robinson.

Kerr was married to Christopher Warren (1992-2012). They share one children: Christopher Warren Jr. (b. 01/15/1990).
