Andrea Evans's daytime career began in 1978 when she was cast on One Life to Live as Tina Clayton Lord Manning-Roberts. Andrea Evans left OLTL in 1980 to take a break and in early 1985 joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Patty Williams until she left the show to join back her original soap opera series in early to mid 1985. Evans returned to OLTL in mid 1985 after replacing actress Marsha Clark and actress Nancy Frangione who temporarily played Tina before Andrea herself got on the series role and stayed with the show until January 1990 when Evans left the show after a stalker repeatedly threatened her safety on the show by getting death threats and was almost nearly getting attacked and beaten. Evans was replaced by actress Karen Witter-Lorre on the show in the spring of that year. She had then returned to daytime in 1999 played Tawny Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful and in 2000 joined Passions as Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane after replacing actress Maureen Denise McCormick when she left the show in August 2000 for Andrea herself later that year in September to be on the air until the show's cancellation in 2008. Evans was a recurring cast member on Passions until its cancellation in 2008. Evans returned to One Life to Live in 2008 after her soap Passions cancelled for a five month arc and would return in 2011 before the series went off the air in 2012. The Moore character has also returned back to The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and Restless. Evans died on July 9, 2023 at age 66 after a battle with cancer.

Evans was married to Steve Rodriguez from 1998 until her death in 2023. They have one child: Kylie Lyn (b. 05/09/2004). Evans was previously married to Wayne Massey (1980-1983).
