Agnes Nixon's daytime career began as a writer working with Irna Phillips. Nixon helped create Search for Tomorrow and Another World. In 1968, she created One Life to Live and two years later All My Children debuted. Many of Nixon's story lines revolved around social issues and broke ground featuring events that had never been touched in daytime drama previously. Nixon remained actively involved with AMC and OLTL until both series were cancelled. Nixon died on September 28, 2016 at age 93.
